I have hit a road block connecting my Great Great Grand Father to his origin in Italy. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
My father's family line leads me to Jacob (Jack) Sanguinetti presumed from Italy. (Family line: Jacob Sanguinetti, 1826 – 1898, Italy; John Sanguinetti, 1868 – 1928, Mississippi, USA; John Henry Sanguinetti, Sr., 1892 – 1954, Mississippi, USA; John Henry Sanguinetti, Jr., 1926 – 2018, Mississippi, USA). His tombstone in Vicksburg, Mississippi, USA indicates he was born 1826 and died 1898.
He married Eva Henkle (or Ava) from Germany in 1863.
In the 1870 USA Census he is listed as J. Sanguinetti, 40 years old born in Italy. The 1880 census, he is listed as Jack, 54 years old, from Essingen, father and mother from Italy.
Not 100% sure if the same Jacob but, I found a Louisiana U.S. Naturalization Record, for Jacob Sanginetti or Sangenetti, from the Kingdom of Sardinia, who became a naturalized citizen in 1857 after arriving in 1830 as a minor.
Also not sure if the same, but a Port of New Orleans Passenger List from January 13, 1847 for includes a ship from Genoa with a 21 year old G. Sanguinatte belonging to the country of Sardinia which lines up with a birth year of 1826.
Of note, a Joseph Botto co-signed the marriage bond for Jacob and Ava. Also, a 60 year old Joseph Botto is the name after G. Sanguinatte on the New Orleans Passenger list. I also noted a 17 year old P. Sanguinetti from Sardiania on a sperate New Orleans Passenger list. The ship named Silenzio arrived February 10, 1848 from Genoa and there is a J. Botto age 34 listed after P. Sanguinetti.

I found his death notice in a newspaper. Unfortunately, it doesn't provide any additional clues.

Can you post links to the ship manifests that you referenced above?
AND... the naturalization record and marriage bond?
I do not know of a town Essinger in Italy...
However, it MAY be this - Escolca, Nuoro, Sardegna

Could it be Essingen in Germany? Unless there is a town so called in the States.
His parents are from Italy as written above.
Eva is from Italy with parents from Prussia.
Both places of birth on the register have been corrected and overwritten.
This is the 1880 census. Lines 5 to 12.

For reference I add the link to the family tree which states that Jacob was previously married with Margaret who died in 1858 very young.
Quite a bit of news regarding the Henkel family too.
Apparently they arrived in 1853.

For context, Vicksburg is a fairly small town in Mississippi that sits on the Mississippi River. It is a couple hundred miles upriver from New Orleans, Louisiana, which served as a port of entry for some emigrants.
Here a couple of the documents:
1880 Vicksburg Census
Naturalization Document
Picture of Gravestone in Vicksburg, which Eva's is next to.

The attached 1850 census has a John Sanguinetti but the age does not line up with a DoB of 1826. Of course it could be an error. Also attached is the1870 census and 1847 passenger list.

Here is the marriage bond.
I mentioned the size of Vicksburg because it seems possible that any and all Sanguinetti/s who initially settled there would be related. I noted a Nicholas Sanguinetti.
