These questions stem from the 1836 marriage of Pasquale Colaianni and Maria Leonarda Bulso. The marriage Act noted that Pasqaule's living father's residence was "di Isola di Nisita" (which I've surmised was actually NISIDA, a prison Island near Naples. https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 14/LqOj8qM
Further investigation into the full marriage package, Image 127 https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 95/w6PJMje, gave this page that my clumsy translation gives this general gist:
Does that capture the essence or am I missing something?"The Grand Special Court of Capitanata with decision of the twenty-sixth day of September 1833, declare that the named Adamantonio Colaianni, son of the late Pasquale of Casalvecchio, is guilty of complicity in premeditated murder, accompanied by public violence against Pietro Cicchillo, and I sentence him to a penalty of 25 years of irons, with the guarantee of one hundred ducats."
I know Adamantonio Colaianni eventually got out of prison and died in Casalvechhio in 1854.
Maria Leonarda Bulso is my 1st cousin 4xR through her mother Cristina Rossacci, so I'm very curious about her deceased father Antonio....tab over to Images 128 and 129; something is going on that seems to say that Antonio murdered Luigi Maria Tosches... but I can't get the gist of what these pages are really saying....HELP!
No death record was found in Casalvecchio for Antonio,,,I know he was alive a least until the requirements for the birth of his last known child Angela Maria Bulso in Feb of 1829 (early 1828) but he is definitely dead by May of 1836....
Thanks for any insights!!!!!
