Maybe the 24 dollars indicates bio family was sending him support money? I read on average italians came with between 8-13 dollars in this time period.

Those lawsuit papers you (I think was you?) about his health problems showed me before had him saying that he hadn't heard from his family since leaving Italy - not that he never knew them.

I recall now, the likely conclusion was that your GGF referred to Pietro as a "cousin" but he really wasn't, and he took the name of Pietro's father Domenico as his own father's name but he really wasn't. Of course, that's just conjecture. I suppose it's possible that your GGF lived with Domenico's family and considered him as his father. There had to be some connection but I doubt it was by blood. Unless you can find DNA connection with Pietro's line.

I'm not sure...I don't think he does .....maybe in mouth and chin - eyes and nose look completely different to me....I think the pic of 98cm DNA match's father looks more like him - what do you think?

Well Dominico died before he was born so that is definitely not possible - but I'm sure he was fostered with them or something elsewise why would he name 6 of his 7 kids same as Pietro named his? What I don't get is I wouldn't think they would let a widowed woman foster. Maybe she was his mother -- but I'll never be able to find out because the records aren't online to find her marriage that would tell her parents to see if they connect to any of my dna matches lines.
