I got a 7cm dna match to someone who has the Mastrascchio surname - and usually I'll ignore anything that small, but since this is so similar to the surname that took in my ggf I figure why not go down the rabbit hole again.
So I'm researching this matches Mastrascchio line when I come across this obituary. My thoughts are what? What? how? and What?
Has anyone seen anything like this before - whats doubly confusing is since at least the man in the obituary was born in USA it doesn't seem to be a change due to mishearing/spelling surname back when immigrating.
Now its possible the sisters mentioned are married (tho it oddly doesn't mention so in obit) but 2 of them have the same surname. And the 3 brothers all have different surnames. Anyone got any ideas?
I'm not certain yet if this even relates to the one I match to - his Joseph Mastrascchio settled in New Haven, CT with bday of 22 Oct 1875. I'm just curious cause this obit I never seen anything like that before with the surnames all diff yet siblings)
Mastrascchio - siblings but at least 3, maybe 4 different surnames as siblings in obituary
