Last names Currari-Corrado

I am looking for information regarding my great grandfather Giuseppe Oliva Currari (Corrado), he was born in Santa Domenica Talao,Cosenza Calabria,Italy on the 12 Aug 1870 and moved to the Dominican Republic where he married Elisa Garcia Chotin; they had multiple children.
According to the birth certificate his mother was Maria Teresa Currari and father was Saverio Oliva and that's where i hit a brick wall,I am unable to find anything before that or the marriage with Elisa. Can anyone help?

what part of the DR did Giuseppe move to? In FamilySearch, if you haven't already done this, go to Catalog and type in Dominican Republic and there are some databases. There are also some databases that may not be indexed, only photographed but if you have an estimated date of marriage, you could look there. Here is the link:
