https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2046915

record 744 oct 21 1771
marriage
There is a word and i would like to know whether it is a surname or not
it is after ---living Francesca Finocchip ------" MATSELLO" -- olim what does that mean is it her surname or something else.

@erudita
@mmgno

I find it difficult to determine when a parent is alive or deceased.
in front of Francesa it states living but how can i tell if Leoluca is living.
are there other words that describe living?

Thanks
Linda

It says "qnd Leonis Lucae et viventis Franciscae Finocchio et Marsello"

"qnd" = "quondam" means "deceased"
In Sicilian records you will often find the surnames of spouses listed separed by "et": that means Leoluca Finocchio and Francesca Marsello.
