i attemped to find his birth

i see in index it looks more like son of filippo but still not certain what do you think? imageP9025535 in table of contents in volume 3 sambuca
it lists a record should be on folio 54 which is image 53 about March 14 1601 BUT i did not find it. Do you see it?

then i remembered the record says of the terre of Santa Margherita di Belice yet married in Sambuca - will go look at SMB
just looked-- there aren't records online for the time frame prior tot 1628 in SMB but i do see his name in sambuca in index

If the index points to folio 54 but the image sequence doesn't match, it could simply be a pagination or digitization issue. It may be worth checking a few images before and after image 53 in case the folio numbering shifted.

The baptismal record is the sixth on folio 54 recto (image #053), dated 17 March 1601.
