Yes, both Marina Martorana's parents were unknown. I'm reading she was born in Termini Imerese.

Day July 20th, 1871.
Birth record of Marina Martorana, found in Termini Imerese on the same day at 13 o'clock in the foundling wheel, recently born and wearing torn rags without any identification signs, and was given her name Marina and surname Martorana.
Then the baby girl was sent to the foundling institute of Palermo Province.
