Bassi???

Hi,

My grandfather, Michele Basso has upon his 1930 census that he came from: Bassi, Neirone, Genova, Luguria, Italy

I have found info on Neirone, Genova, Liguria, HOWEVER

I find nothing on Bassi. I assume this is a village/commune?

Can you help me? Maybe it is misspelled? Or something?

Bassi is a hamlet (part of ) the town of Neirone....Vital records for Bassi would be in the city hall of Neiroone.
