The Calderone connection that was on the Marriage Certificate was from a Termini Imerese license. Still possible that the Calerdone's were in Canada already. If i could find out if Giuseppe and Rosaria had any other children aside from my grandfather it would open many doors...

These Amodeo's were in Canada around that time. I've sent them a message to see if they know of any Vincenzo's that may have been in the family back then... http://www.amodeofamily.com/

Hey Nuccia,

Sorry to keep bugging you...i work with a girl whose mother's maiden name was Giuffre (small world i know). Hey were from Termini Imerese too. Her great-grandfather Anthony (Antonio) Giuffre came here. I'm not sure of the year but apparently they lived on Queen and had the second farmers market here (aside from the St. Lawrence). He had two kids, Joseph (her grandfather) and Mary. Joseph was born in 1921. I've always been convinced that we are related. Thank it's possible?

It's also strange that my grandfather would change his last name to Jeffrey even though his father was here and perhaps somewhat established and he opted to keep his last name...

Wow it worked...okay to be more specific, I'm trying to find his birth certificate to find out what his parents names were and if he had any siblings.
He has on his manifest that his grandmother Giuffre/LaCavera was his nearest relative.
He came to and settled in Toronto.
Here's the manifest...

After you receive his birth certificate from Termini Imerese civil record office, and you find his parents names, you can request to the civil record office a Certificato Storico di Famiglia (Historical family certificate) where you find all the siblings, if any, of your grandfather. But usually this certificate has a cost of € 2,50 per name found.
