We recently learned that our family is from Capizzi in Sicily.
Does anyone have any information about this town? Looking at a map, it appears that it is in the mountains.
We plan to visit this region in 2007 and were wondering if the roads that lead to Capizzi are in pretty good condition. We do not like driving high mountain roads and a map cannot give such information.
Aside from our heritage, is the town worth visiting? Thank you.

Capizzi is close to the motorway A20 connecting Palermo to Messina.
It is a tollway and has two lanes plus an emergency lane in both directions.
