according to my uncle my grandprents returned to italy in 1935 to MARANO MARCASI (unsure of spelling)near piacenza ,but i cant find it on any map ,any ideas ???

Marano Marcasi? near Piacenza? from soundex it seems Marano Marchesato in Cosenza province...
you mean Marano sul Panaro in Modena province.. Emilia Romagna region...( as Piacenza)...?

it could be Varano( no Marano) Marchesi hamlet in Medesano town, in Parma province? no far from Bozzolo town.... suanj
