Yes, V.J. I thinks that's her. Her husband's name was Vincenzo, but I think Jimmy is the Americanized version of that name. Thank you again!vj wrote:Natalie,

VJ, I'm sure that is them. It dosen't list a Wife & my Great-Great Aunt passed away in 1927 so I think it's them. Funny though, at the top of the Census it lists the name Grillo. That's a name my Aunt told me to look up, but I'm not sure how we are related. Interesting! Thanks!vj wrote:you bet!

possible 1930 census
Name: James Lategano
Birth: abt 1869 - Italy
Residence: 1930 - Brooklyn, Kings, New York
I really don't know where the Lateganos were from. Since Maria Santa was from Ferrandina and according to Familysearch.org they were married Dec. 16, 1897 in Ferrandina, I assumed that Vincenzo Lategano was from there as well. I guess you can't assume anything when it comes to genealogy. I'll order the Naturalization record & hope for some added information. I really appreciate your time & help with this.vj wrote:was the family from Montagano Campobasso Molise?

OH MY GOODNESS VJ!! Lines 11-20 are my family!! Well I'm not sure about line19, I can't figure out the name & not sure about the Grillo connection on line 10. But if I am reading the age of line 20 Maria Pipio correct as 76, that is my Great-Great-GREAT Grandmother who was born in 1824 in Italy. I didn't even know that she came over here! Marietta was indeed a sister which I don't know what happened to her after she came over. The address that everyone went to was 129 Roosevelt Street, a street no longer in existance in NYC. They must have piled into that tenementvj wrote:intriguing manifest, may not need naturalization record![]()
