Grappucio Family

Post by summergirl75 »

I have been attempting to locate Anthony Grappucio and his wife Santa, whom both were born in Italy. They had three children here in Mass Marie Gabriel 1/27/1899Grappucio about 1902,and Rose Grappucio 9/15/1905. I find Antony Grappocis (spelled wrong but him) in 1930 Cenuse with all of his married children living at Allen St, although only Marie Reynolds and Rose Valenti are living with him, Gabriel is up the street. I cannot find them again anywhere. I did also find Grabriel Grappoco WWI draft listing him at 138 Chambers St in boston and his mother Santa as contact. That is all. I hope someone can help me. thanking you in advance for your expertise, time, effort and knowledge.

Same problem........here is ships record for Santa Ofria wife of Antonio. He is suppose to be line 11 and she is line 12 but pulls up wrong manifest

http://www.ellisisland.org/search/passR ... 2544060006&

Ship - Fulda
Port of Departure - Naples
Last residence - Messina
Arrived - June 9, 1898

By the way.......Antonio's surname is spelled Grappacio per the ships records.

Maybe someone with a subscription to ancestry will have better luck.

Hi Summergirl..........would you happen to know if the town your family is from is Messina (comune) or is the region Messina and the comune could be a different name?

It would help in guiding you to the righ microfilms to get births, marriages, deaths etc. for you ancestors.
