ricerco cugini LO PICCOLO in NY

[wldspirit]

Buon giorno sanlopiccolo......perhaps one of our posters can help to translate......

I did not recieve any documentation from the parish, and I am assuming that the member who volunteered to research the family also ran into a dead end........however, with the updates to Ancestry.com, I think it would be a good idea to look into the family again, as we may get further leads.

I myself have not done much genealogy research, as my family requires much of my attention right now.....

Do not give up hope, we have some excellent members here who have been doing great research......sooner or later some further info will be found!!

LoPiccolo Gaetana Feb 11 1934 2517 Kings groom

con

Tomaszewski Sigmund Feb 11 1934 Kings 2517 bride

Name: Gaetana Tomaszewski
SSN: 133-18-3973
Last Residence: 11580 Valley Stream, Nassau, New York
Born: 20 Jul 1915
Died: 20 Dec 2007
State (Year) SSN issued: New York (Before 1951 )

Josephine Forgione
19 Feb 1914
Feb 1977
New York
Flushing, Queens, New York, United States of America

http://www.carollorealtygroup.com/peter/

Hello,
sorry for my english, I’m Italian.
I write you, after long search, because I’m searching LoPiccolo( Lo Piccolo) family emigrated in first time in Louisiana and after settled in Brooklyn, NY;
the family was:
-Frank LoPiccolo (b.1887 born in San Giuseppe Jato-Sicily, IT-d. abt 1954 Brooklyn, NY) and the wife was Catherine D’Alcamo LoPiccolo ;they had many children:

Benjamin - Birth 1 Jun 1908– Louisiana ( died 13 Apr 1989 Garden City, Nassau, NY)
Josephine - Birth abt. 1913 – Louisiana
Gaetana/Tina - Birth abt. 1916 - New York ( probably married at Sigmund Tomaszewski ?)
Joseph - Birth abt. 1918 - New York (unknown destiny)
Florence - Birth abt. 1923 - New York (ditto)
Diana - Birth abt. 1925 - New York (ditto)

so by on line database what I found is that a Josephine LoPiccolo married to Ercole Forgione (Brooklyn 6 June 1936)…

I know not if you are related or not, but I write you because just a probable Josephine Forgione died in Flushing, Queens, NY….
In this genealogy forum you can read my search: http://italiangenealogy.tardio.com/Foru ... html#71330
Frank LoPiccolo had only a brother Vincenzo Lo Piccolo that lived in San Giuseppe Jato and decesead when was 98 old… for all him life he wishing Frank's news… the contact was ended abt in Frank death…
I'm the grand daughter of Vincenzo LoPiccolo and I'm looking for LoPiccolo descendents in USA.

If you are related let me know…. If not please to accept my apologies.
Best regards,

Excellent Suanj.......

This morning, I to search news thru death notices, trying to discover some decendants...but nothing....

I think it would be a good idea to send for the death certificate of Benjamin
LoPiccolo, it may reveal the name of a wife, or perhaps a child.

Hello,

I'm new to the list and interested in locating descendants of Frank
LoPiccolo. He was born in the province of Palermo 30 January 1887
and left for NY in 1906.

He and his wife Caterina had many children: Benedict LO PICCOLO,
Maria LO PICCOLO, and then also Giuseppe, Gaetana, Gertrude, Francisco.

Anyone out there with ideas on how to advance research going forward
to identify living relatives of this couple and the children listed
above?

I am attempting to help a friend in Italy locate her grandfathers
brothers descendants. I met her while seeking assistance on my own
research into remaining relatives in Italy. I have successfully made
contact with one other Tornatore family from Castiglione di Sicilia
and I am hoping to help Santina LoPiccolo locate her New York State
relatives.

Appreciate any help!

Grazie mille!!

"Hello,
I'll have to talk to my Grandfather, he was born in Italy, too. Funny, a couple of months ago, my Grandfather & Aunt were trying to locate some descendents of his Uncle. I try to get in touch with you by Wednesday.

thanks, Dave Forgione NYC Chairman of SCOPEny.org

Dear Dave, thank you for the reply; I hope that you are my relative abt LoPiccolo line.
I wait your news.
Best regards and thanks again,
