Loschi is not an Italian surname and not listed in the Italian Surname Dictionary. Accordingly the surname is either imported from abroad from the mists of time or is local in origin. It is not listed as a Jewish surname.=Peter=

The dictionary of Italian surnames by De Felice does not reflect that the surname Loschi is an Italian surname indicating that it is either an imported from abroad surname or was created locally and has remained so for an extended period.

Consequently, despite the fact that the surname has achieved extensive distribution, its origin is still not an offical italian surname. =Peter=
