Casale Monferrato (AL), Piemonte

I just found out that my bisnonno was born in Casale Monferrato in 1873; it appears from the certificato di stato di famiglia (storico) that I recently received that his family had been there for many generations.

Might someone have information regarding the comune? I did a Google search but came up with little.

Monferrato is also the area where Casale is located, not so famous but very beautiful. Insert only "Monferrato" on Google, you will find many websites and some of them have an English version.

There is another website www.tiscali.it and insert Monferrato (AL) in the title and you will get mutliple websites in Italian language but some may contain surprises and others fotos. =Peter=
