Ship Name: Manuel Calvo

So then the manifest above is more than likely your ancestor.

Hi everyone, and thank you all for your help. I am helping Daniel Venditti. Here's what we know.

Daniels Grandfather: amerigo alfred Van Dittie, (born Amerigo Venditti) in chicago Il. Amerigos parents were:
Amerigos father : Loreto Venditti (original Spelling) DOB 1/26/1876 in Sora Italy. Amerigos Mother Antonetta Venditti (original Spelling) DOB: 03/01/1880 sora, Italy. (these are Daniels Great Grandparents.)

Loreto Came to America on the Manuel Salvo in 1907, and Antonetta came to America in 1910 on the SS Berlin.

Loreto came first, then Antonetta, to chicago, then the both came to Colorado, and then Loreto went back to Chicago.

On Loreto's death cert. it states fathers name is Luciano Van Dittie, but that is the "revised" spelling of the last name, originally Venditti. It also states mother "unknown". Dont understand that. How can I find Birth Certificates for Loreto or Antonetta? Their child Amerigo, was born Feb 5, 1912 in chicago, but all the websites dont include that year for some reason in the US. What about Vincenzo birth certif in Sora Italy? Vincenzo was a child born to Loreto and Antonetta IN Sora italy.

thanks

One more thing. Thanks
Loreto apparently "hooked up" in chicago Il with someone named Ethel, last name unknown, but did not marry. Loreto and Ethel then had a child (pretty sure a girl). anyway to look that up? Rumor for years, this child was trying to locate us.

The family information on the death certificate would have depended upon
the knowledge of the informant.

Loreto and Ethel then had a child (pretty sure a girl).
We would need to determine Ethel's maiden name. With an illegitimate child, she could have taken the maiden name or the father's surname.
Do you have an approximate time frame of when this child would have been born?

Was there a name of an informant listed on the death certificate of Loreto?

"ditto" on what Daniel (no pun intended) wrote.....THANK YOU to everyone for all your help.
I discovered a LDS Geneaology Center only 1 mile from my home! How lucky was that! I have alreday gone there to order three different microfilms. I never would have known this if it wasn't for all your gracious help!!
We (daniel and myself) will keep in touch and let you know our outcome!
THANKS AGAIN so much. :D

Need more help!!! I cannot find a birth certificate for Amerigo Venditti, who was born in Chicago Ill. 02/05/1912 (known fact). All records (census)
indicate he lived in Cook County, but I cannot find. Nothing comes up for the other children - Elio, or Renato either. Amerigo is Buried in the family plot in Wheat Ridge Colorado. Death Cert we have.
I also cannot find a death certificate for Antonetta Venditti (who is buried in Wheat Ridge, CO) under the name Antionette VanDittie. She was born in Sora, but died in Denver Colorado. Date of death 10/30/1948. I cannot put this puzzle together!
