Where in Italy did my grandfather come from??

On my grandfather's naturalization papers, he says he was born in Appingnano, Italy. The next page says he was born in Abbruzzi, Italy!!

Is one the town and one the province or region or what?????
and where is it on a map!!

Appingnano is a town in the province of Teramo in the Region of Abruzzo...in other words the papers are right on both entries, in one entry they list the town, in the other entry the region.

Appiginao is a Frazione of another comune both bearing the same postal code 64034. Go to www.nonsolocap.it and put in SAppiginano and you will see it is a part of another larger Comune. This has been answered in detail in your other inquiry here in. =Peter=

It matters little as to where you live if you wish to familiarize yourself with italian genealogy or USA genealogy so where you live is not indicative of anything/ it just might makes things easier to learn thats all. =Peter=
