Hallo, Can anyone help me to locate Via Piedilmonte (esp number 2) on a map? It must be in the area of Atina or Belmonte Castello in Frosinone. My Grand Father‘s family lived there in the middle to late 1800’s.
Thanks for any help.

I live in the area and I can assure you that many streets have been renamed over the years. You need to locate an old map of the town for this. Atina has a great library that house that kind of thing and a very helpful staff.

Hi,
the street could have been "Piedelmonte" or "Piedimonte" as Piedilmonte is mispelled. Anyway, as Italysearcher said, street names have been renamed over the years and this happened in all towns more or less.
The only thing I can tell you is that "Piè del Monte" means "at the foot of the mountain". So it would obviously indicate a street in that position.
I know it's not a great help......

There is 2 Piedivalle in Belmonte Castello 03040. The map looks like itsin a place on the periphery of the town. =Peter=
