MARTINI and SPINA from CROCETTA DEL MONTELLO or TREVISO

[inlitero]

I'm looking for Martini and Spina from this region before 1920, and before my grandparents emigrated to Canada...

In Italy the town of origin is normally the repository for birth, marriage and death records with duplicate copies at the provincial level but you still need to know the town of origin. Perhaps family oral history can identify this further. Once you have the town of origin then form letters in italian can be sent to the local municipal registry office requesting documents free of charge.

The letters are found at http://www.angelfire.com/ok3/pearlsofwi ... tters.html =Peter=

You may find basic info about Crocetta sul Montello on this site http://en.comuni-italiani.it/026/025/ . If you click on Phon Numbers you may check if there are any Spina or Martini living there.

In the event that
you come across a familiar first name Martini or Spina (first names tend to run in families) you can obtain a form letter in Italian addressed to a Potential relative at www.initaly.com/gene/mem/letter1.htm
