Hermelini

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Post by DaveH »

Looking to trace Giuseppi Hermelini, emigrated from Milan to London early 1800s.
Any advice or help gratefully received.

I ran Hermelini and even ERMELINI thru current and dated indices without results. There is no record for either name currently in Italy and in the british 1880 census. Perhaps if you check an earlier census you might pick him up. If I come across the earlier census I will give it a try but there is nothing to impede you in your quest. peter
