How long should I wait?

I have requested that someone help me translate my Italian Great Uncle's military service record which is just one sheet of paper with not much writing. Other people with similar requests have been lucky enough to have theirs translated on this site, some with much worse handwriting than on my record and more pages so don't understand why I'm not getting any response.

How long should I wait before giving up, as it's been 3 days and over 100 views. Should I not waste any more time and just look into hiring a translator, even though I'm on a tight budget? Do you know of any other Italian websites I could try?

If there is a college with a strong language program near you, perhaps there is a professor or even a grad student who might take a crack at it for less than a translator might charge? Or maybe an Italian language school? Just a thought...
