this collection is found at family search. is there any order to the way these records are compiled? for instance,i'm looking at 2 specific years. 1872 and 1883. i have names and birthdates of the subjects. i've tried searching both surnames alphabetically and chronologically by month and date. salvatore landino barcellona pozzo di gotto may 1872 and gaetano tomaso salice august 1883. there doesnt seem to be any system to the way these records are organized. if anyone out there is familiar with the way these documents are compiled please contact me. thanks

These documents refer only to the Municipality of Messina.

i thought this database was for all residents of the province of messina regardless of comune of birth and residence? i wrote to the archivio di stato in messina in the past for military records for subjects born in other comunes in messina province i recieved the document. for example,someone born in barcellona pozzo di gotto or salice,actually a frazione of the city of messina,wouldn't be found in this database? example. i'm looking for the record for gaetano tomaso born in salice in august 1883. i went to that year but see its not listed alphabetically or by date,as surnames aren't in order and registrants are born in different years. no system apparently. the only way to search would be alphabetically or by month,as to find a registrant otherwise someone would have to literally go through every document.

Hola¡ estoy buscando informacion en Italia de Francesco Reinero o alguna variante ortografica nacido en 1849 casado con Maria Reviglio o tambien alguna variante nacida en año 1862 ambos italianos.
Con dos hijos nacidos en italia Pedro y Catalina nacidos en 1883 y 1886.
