Capua Church, Prov. of Caserta

Post by amerital43 »

Amici:
I have someone I'm trying to help find some information in Capua. They have a ancestor who according to the Death Record, died AT the church on St. Angelo di Formis in Capua. This happened at 2:30 a.m. on 1920--Jan. 12th. The man was Michele Duonnolo fu Domenico e fu Mariantonia Violante, a 56 year old peasant who lived in Capua. My person thinks their ancestor was murdered on the church steps. I can't imagine it. I think if anything the old man was sick and maybe they were holding a vigil at the church. Is that possible? So I'm asking you, could there be a newspaper account of such an incident (murder) or maybe a court case document? How can we clear up whether this did or didn't take place? Thank you all for assistance.

The death of Michele Duonnolo must have occurred from natural causes, because it is recorded in "Part I" of the "Register of Acts of Death". Violent deaths are recorded in "Part II".
