Wondering if anyone has been able to find church records for Govone as the civil registration records available online only go back to 1866?
The surnames of my ancestors from this commune are Cattaneo, Cantamessa and Cravanzola

Re: Govone, Cuneo Church Records
As you know, church records for Govone don’t seem to be present online.
Have you tried contacting the parroco?

Thank you for the contact details I have emailed the parish priest and will see what records they have physically at the parish
Re: Govone, Cuneo Church Records
Govone, Cuneo’s church records hold valuable insights into baptisms, marriages, and burials, often dating back centuries. Searching parish archives, diocesan records, or platforms like Antenati can help, though old Latin/Italian scripts may pose challenges. If records aren’t digitized, contacting the local parish or Diocese of Alba could be key—just like using an Estes Express tracking number
helps locate shipments. Are you tracing a specific family name?

Does the parish have specific office hours where I can go in person to inquire?Farassino wrote: 01 Dec 2024, 16:03 As you know, church records for Govone don’t seem to be present online.
