Hi All,
I'm just creating this topic as a place to share and compare DNA Ethnicity Results. I'm pretty interested to see other peoples results particularly from Sicily.
My tree goes as far back as 1500s and is pretty much all from the province of Catania, Sicily.
Regards
Rob

Re: DNA Ethnicity Sharing
I have a question about this DNA thing, sorry for my ignorance. I am a female half Sicilian on my father's side. My father died in 1987 when I was in my late teens. I never had an opportunity to sit with him and discuss his family, as my parents were divorced. In doing a DNA test, will that bring up his part of the DNA line as well as my Puerto Rican side?
I have now obtained names of my great grandfather/mother, grandmother uncles and an aunt but can't seem to find anything pertaining to them anywhere...any suggestions?

If you post some names and other information about those relatives you've identified then maybe some in this Forum will search their paper trail for you.
Re: DNA Ethnicity Sharing
Ok here's mine from the big 4 testing companies. Fathers paternal grandparents both immigrated from Lipari, Sicily. Fathers maternal grandparents - 1 from Cerda, 1 a foundling born in Rome whose DNA seems to tie him to sicily- Porto Empedocle, Agrigento and Termini Immerse specifically.
On my maternal side I got mothers paternal grandparents both came over from Poland. Mothers maternal grandfather - ancestors in country longer but traced back to Germany, Mecklenburg and Bavaria to be specific.
My mothers maternal grandparents - who I worryingly have a lack of DNA matches further back to despite tracing back to say 1700s - they came over from Slovakia.
