checking www.antenati and familysearch for civil records in san bartolomeo in galdo benevento. not much in either site. many missing years.more for later years than the earlier ones.big gaps. researching the civil records from 1866 to 1910. not much. years ago one could write to the comune and see if they had the records not found online. not today. they just direct you to whats online. if the records aren't there youre out of luck. not sure why so many missing years in these records. were they lost or never recorded. no clarity there. or is it a matter of access based on mpney? very inconsistent. i see this in many of the comunes i've researched in italy.
