Looking at Birth Record No 16, Maria Pricolo, what are you reading Maria Pricolo’s year of death to be? I’ve never been able to establish this. Thanks for any help.

I’m seeing Dec 30, 1957 with the 57 written hurriedly. I know Italians put a line through the angled line of the 7, although more straight across than in the annotation.

If you compare the writing of other numbers in that volume, "7" does look like a better guess than "2" for the last digit.

Thanks everyone for your replies. According to some oral history which I'd noted down, the year 1957 fits perfectly. I've seen the annotation translated as 1952 which I knew couldn't be correct.
