I'm tempted to say the North Pole...

Do you mean the bride's mother?

If so, it could be Scandarello as in Lago di Scandarello near Amatrice.

It must be Scandarello. At one time there must have been a frazione named Scandarello.

But the North Pole is just as acceptable

When I wrote my reply, I hadn't noticed that you listed the full name in the topic title. I was just reacting to your question: May I have help reading Santa’s residence? which struck me funny.

Anyway, yes there must have been an area with that name, or it was an abbreviation for Lago di Scandarello where presumably there were residences around the lake.

I started out by searching for similar sounding places in or near Amatrice.

It could be Scandarello, but the lake took its name from a stream, and Scandarello is also the electric plant.
Maybe she lived in the electric plant, maybe as a service woman.
