On 14 December 1853, the birth of a baby girl was registered in Palermo, as reported by the Stabilimento di S. Spirito, which had received her shortly after her birth on 12 December 1853 and baptised her in its church with the name Virginia Spataforo.

Virginia’s given surname was Spadafora.
