RE: PALERMO DEATH INDEXES
going through the palermo death indexes.1820-1895. working the years from 1846 to 1895. these indexes follow no alphabetical order.i'm searching for 2 deaths that most likely occurred in this time period. francesco caldara and caterina romeo. married in 1844 so most likely one or both died in this time period. no logic to this setup. any help or suggestions most appreciated.

When your'e on a web-page, just copy the URL you're in - either the Family Search web page or Antenati web page - and then paste that here.

Re: RE: PALERMO DEATH INDEXES
even if i could send a link-a link to what? several of these indexes don't follow alphabetical order. simply checking as many indexes as possible, from 1846-1855 up to 1886-1895,to possibly find the deaths of one,or both, francesco caldara and wife caterina romeo, who married in 1844,and would have been in their 70s by 1895,the last year of online palermo index years that are available. as caldara and romeo are far apart alphabetically its difficult jumping all over the place.

You said this: "going through the palermo death indexes.1820-1895. working the years from 1846 to 1895. these indexes follow no alphabetical order..."
I told you this: "When your'e on a web-page, just copy the URL you're in - either the Family Search web page or Antenati web page - and then paste that here."
What part of that reply do you not understand? The copying and pasting of the web-page you're on constitutes the "link" that will give the people here who are (graciously) trying to help you a starting point.

This is not the first middle-of-the-day cursing of the darkness! Try these candles.
You will find that yes, three of the death indexes of interest have chunks out of sequence. But within chunks the records are in order. To the best of my knowledge, the ones that are messed up are:
1846-1855 A-I
1856-1865
1876-1885 A-K
Below are the URL's that get you to the death register indexes. Remember that each image has two pages of the index.
Morti 1846-1855 A-I (out of sequence)
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 6Y?lang=en
image1/359 (Page 134) starts with "B"
image 288/359 (Page 1) is where "A" starts
Morti 1846-1855 L-Z

Morti 1856-1865 A-Z (out of Sequence)
