san fransisco will a NA on the census disqualify you?

I got my Italian citizenship back in 2006 I think in Chicago and they didn't pay any attention to the NA on the census for my grandfather. I know that in New York that would be a show stopper. Does anyone know about San Francisco? I have a cousin who is starting the process.

I don’t think the census was requested at any consulate in 2006. I was applying at about the same time, and all consulates were considerably easier to deal with. I think today the NA would be an issue at most consulates, but not an issue for those applying in Italy.
