Acquavia Pietro - Spadola Carmela

Post by f.iallorenzi »

Hello,
I am looking for information on the family of one of my ancestors who emigrated to the US around the 30's.

His name is Pietro Antonio ACQUAVIA, he was born in Ruoti, in the province of Potenza, in Basilicata, on 7 May 1897;

his parents were Giuseppe Antonio ACQUAVIA (1/4/1859 -?) and Rosa AQUINO (27/6/1859 -?).

He married in Ruoti on 25/6/1927 with Carmela SPADOLA.

He emigrated to America with his parents, i think after his marriage

Thanks for your help

And continuing back another generation...

Here is the marriage of Rocco Donato Acquavia (GF of Pietro) and Rosaria Maria Rosella on 14 November 1851.
#33
Groom: Rocco Donato Acquavia, 24, farmer; son of Pasquale and of Rosa Ciaffreda.
Bride: Rosaria Maria Rosella, 19, daughter of deceased Giuseppe and of Giovanna Dammiano.
Both spouses were born in Ruoti.

NOTE: It is a good possibility that the Pasquale Acquavia who presented the newborn child, Giuseppe, was the father of Rocco.
