Hi Everyone:
I have a birth record for my cousin's paternal grandfather, Biagio Li Calsi. I could use a little help translating some information (especially on the side bar which mentions the date August 29, 1904).
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... cc=2051639
This is what I have so far (please correct if information is not accurate):
Date of Birth: October 16, 1881
Name: Biago Li Calsi
Father: Angelo Li Calsi (age 43 - Born 1838)
Mother: Francesca Paolo Triolo (age 30 - Born 1851)
Address: Via Castanza, #11, Borgetto, Palermo, Sicily
There is information written on the right side bar that I do not understand. Also, I looked in the records for the birth records for Angelo and Francesca Paolo Triolo without success. The record states that they are living in Borgetto, however, it does not give where they were born.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time. Do you know what the information on the side bar is indicating? Did he change his name from Li Calsi to Li Causi?

The officer must correct the surname "Li Calsi" to "Li Causi"ItalianbellaSA wrote: ↑23 Jan 2020, 01:57 Thank you for your time. Do you know what the information on the side bar is indicating? Did he change his name from Li Calsi to Li Causi?

I am looking for his immigration records. I know that when he settled in Hoboken, NJ he went by the surname LiCalsi.
