I also was looking for aan Italian family(they most likely are related, though not proven) the parents were friends of my great grandparents and godparents to some of their children. I managed to trace the children of this couple, who they married, their children via Ancestry, up to ...

There were Valentes in Birmingham, some were godparents to my grandmother and her siblings....More than likely from the Sora. Frosinone part of Italy.

Hi Elisa, my greatgrandfather was Guiseppe Tuzi, though the name was changed to Tuzio then Tuzzio.

Hi, did you post a request on the bbc board?? My ancester supposedly walked to England, and settled in Birmingham, my great grandfather.. he was friends with a Valente family, though this is a common name. You would need to email/write to the archives of Cassino for your ancesters birth act and ...

I would contact Italysearcher (Ann Tatangelo) who just happens to be an expert in surnames from Sora and researches in Frosinone. Very nice lady!

We have been in touch before, I have Tuzi/Tuzzios who moved to Birmingham, we never found a connection, so far!
