I showed the census reports to my mother and she agrees that this is my great-grandfather. We are uncertain about the ship manifesto regarding the brother and sister though. We're going to have to ask my grandmother and see what she thinks.

I believe that he settled in NY, but later lived in NJ. I have the birthdate of one of his children, my grandfather Joseph Charles Puntorno, 1917-1997. His wife was Mary Pisciotta (1896-1974). I do not know much about her though.

I have one name, my great-grandfather Francesco Puntorno who was born in 1880. His place of birth may have been Palermo, but I am not certain of this. I haven't been able to find records of him yet, but I'm still looking.

I am also interested in the origin of the name itself, what it means, etc.

Hi! I'm looking for information on the Puntorno family and would like to know more about the name's origins. It seems to be an unusual name, so information is scarce. Is anyone here familar with this name?
