Thanks everyone! You are all so great, we are all doing genealogy because we have a love of family, and we have a great "family" if you will here at Italianenealogy. I owe a lot to this site, and I am happy to give something back :) .

Maybe this isn't the best idea for you, but you might want to try and order their death certificates. Worse comes to worse you are out the $9 for a PA search if you ever learn the year, and you could just do a wide search on the years from 1943 to 1951(it costs $34 for a 10 year search). Just a ...
