I believe they are digitizing them now! I can't wait for this. They don't give a specific timeline but hopefully they will be released soon!

I have a cousin who is 100% Italian, and she has red hair and blue eyes, and very light skinned with freckles. She has a sister and three brothers and all of them have dark hair and dark eyes. She is the only one in the family with this, so when her mother (my aunt) used to visit Italy she used to ...

Re: Scarfone's From Reggio Calabria
I am related to some Scarfone's in Canada.
Although none of my family has figured out how exactly. I am told we might be as distant as 5th cousins.
Feel free to PM me if you'd like to learn more.

Over the past few days, I have found out some background information on some of my ancestors surnames, and was wondering if anyone had any connections to them.
According to my Great Uncle, my Great-Great Grandparents surnames are:

Re: Rossini/Serfilippi
My mother's side of my family is Rossini.
My great-grandfather was Augustine Rossini. He was born and married in or near the Pesaro region of Italy. He married Eliza Siepi. He was born (I believe) in 1879. He died in 1931. I'm going to assume they got married about 1909, and came to Canada in 1912 ...

Hi there.
I was wondering how you all get this information from?
I personally find it amazing how you can find this information and help so many people on here.
If I may ask, how do you find records for all of these families?
I don't know, it's like you have access to secret records or something ...

Italian Obituaries
Hi All.
I'm new to these boards, but I have been interested in my families geneology for a long time. My father's side of the family are all from Calabria.
I am told if someone dies in Italy there are no such things are obituaries, but they hang banners on street corners or something? I don't know ...
