This editorial commentary appeared in newspapers in 1906. There was negativity expressed towards italians for coming here, working, saving thier money, then taking it home with them or sending money home to thier families.

Just type the name of the town in your search bar. You will usually get a wikipedia, and the actual commune site on the first page of search results. I have even found that even frazioni often have thier own site also.

Ok, for starters you might want to try the local Family History library.
Carpenedolo is a town and commune in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. I could not find a Cortenedelo.
The FHC list many microfilm which should be able to help you.
