Nuccia - Wow, I had no idea about the conventions regarding naming. Thanks so much for telling me. This is very different from what I'm used to with German, Dutch, and English ancestors, where they seem invariably to name son after father. This will be very helpful to me. I appreciate it! Elizabeth

Hi - I strongly suspect that my gg-grandfather, Domenico Susi, was born circa 1850 in Introdacqua in Aquila, Abruzzi. He married a Pettorano girl, Emmanuela Cipriani, and they settled in Pettorano.
