I completely forgot about "his letter of Italian citizenship from the comune" I need to write the comune for that. I am still waiting for the letter of no record from USCIS - I might be waiting for a while.

I received a response finally....I send my request to the new Genealogy Program for Naturalization info on my gg-gf in Aug the first day the program started - so it took a few months to get a response. And as I suspected - no record exists... this I know does not replace the letter of "No record ...

Hi, me again... I am still collecting my docs for my dual citizenship app - I did not realize that I needed a Letter of Exemplification for my NYC documents... does anyone know if I send all my docs back to them and request letters of exempl. if they will do it?

thanks - I did do that for my great - grandparents as well and had no problems with the NYC Archives they sent them right away...it was great... the problem is coming from the Dept of Health for my grandfather's birth (after 1910) he was born in 1921... that is the one they don't want to give me ...

Both my father and my grand-mother are indeed still living. I guess the easiest way maybe to ask my grandmother to request a copy of my grandfather's birth and death certs. She has the originals but of course I need new certified ones that I can get an apostille on.

If I have my gg-gf birth record from Sorrento - do you think there would be any way of me finding out where he was married if it wasn't in Sorrento, which according to the docs I got there is no record of marriage.... I have no idea where my gg-gm was born if it wasn't in Sorrento where he was born ...
