Re: Death record translation
Maria was 7 years old. Died 27 January 1879 at 4 AM Daughter of Giovanni, a peasant farmer, and Luisa Finatori (sp?), also a peasant farmer. Cause of death is not usually given on Italian morti, and I don't see one here... To help you become more familiar with the documents... :-) http://familyhisto...

Re: Felice's matrimoni's
The most common... couldn't tell you if it's the ONLY one... ;-) It's the only one I've seen and sometimes has superscript "a" after it. T. EDIT: I may have misunderstood you... There are many other names that are abbreviated. Antonio would be "Ant" with a superscript "o&quo...

Re: Felice's matrimoni's
Hi Jim,
Top one looks like ...
Married on 7-12-1911 (December 7, 1911) with Maria Grazia Cardito (?) in SMCV
Bottom one looks like a date in November of 1893, possibly the 2nd?
And the bride's name is Concetta, as you stated.

Yes, unfortunately the civil records for Formia only cover 1809-1865 at LDS. Might be worth checking the 1865 film, though, since his DOB on US Passport was listed as Nov. 1, 1865.
