Unknown occupation
One of my relatives lists his career as "Portiere di Vicaria" The location is Napoli in the 1780's. I believe that Vicaria is one of the districts of Napoli. I have no idea what this occupation could be and was wondering if anyone could help me.

Emagrated to Nice France
Hi All,
I have found that my GGM left Napoli about 1868 and emagrated to Nice, France, where she lived till her death in the late 1930's. Is anyone aware of records that I can check to verify this fact?
Thanks
Artie
