Re: Translations of documents
The NY web page has a very complete list of documents and translation requirements. Look for the Citizenship tab. If I recall, every single document needs translation, except of course Italian documents

Well, maybe I will reconsider. To Acupxpa, the error is not on a naturalization doc ( which I agree would be nearly impossible to fix if the person is dead),the error is on the certification of no record of the naturalization from USCIS.

Appt open for New York 930am May 27
I have an appt for NYC that I realized last night I cannot use because USCIS transposed the month and date of my ancestor's birth date , so I am sunk. I am not going to present my application without everything perfect. I am so stupid for not being more careful. Does anyone want this appointment? If ...

Re: dual citizenship at the Philadelphia Consulate
I do not think that the address of the entity is relevant- the govt moves offices all the time. The certification has to be from USCIS, as they are the only govt. entity who can make a definitive statement to rely on about citizenship status.

I put this in the wrong forum before. Sorry. I am going to Italy again shortly to get some documents that I cannot seem to get by mail or phone. There is no microfilm for these years 1849-1861 at the Mormon center. The birth and marriage record I need exist only in the church, not in the town ...

Re: church documents madebefore 1861 and official state docu
Thanks for you comments. The years that I need are not on microfilm, 1849-1861. I wrote to the priest, and to the vital records director in italian, telling them I would be in town again and that I wished their help. I have some distant cousins there who I met two years ago there, but I can do this ...

I am going to use them for Italian dual citizenship. Can I present the church record to the town archive official, and ...
