Re: Polizzi Generosa Birth Records
I have both those Rosario Cascio's. The one born in 1885 emigrated to America where he married and had children of his own. My grandmother who was 10 years younger lived with him when she later emigrated to America until she married my grandfather.

Re: Polizzi Generosa Birth Records
Thank you Tessa. I saw the "Termini Immerse" option out of 5 link options given for Palermo and thought that stood for a specific town or city. Therefore I never clicked on it today. Wonder why they divided it up into multi-links instead of putting all the years together.

Polizzi Generosa Birth Records
I have copies of Polizzi Generosa (province of Palermo) birth documents for family members born in the 1880s and 1890s. However, when I try to find these same birth records on Antenati and Family Search, there are no birth records listed for those years. They have records from 1820 to 1858 and from ...

Quite possible. The man was born in 1901. The women were born between 1885-1893.

Identify People in Photos - Second try to get photos to show up
I know it's a long shot to try to identify the people in these photos The three attached photos are of Cascio family who were born in Polizzi Generosa in Palermo, Sicily. The parents of the elders in the photos were Giuseppe Cascio (1859-1907) and Lucia Trabunella (1865-1928). The elders are sisters ...

Re: Find Birth Certificate
Thanks Tessa. I'm opposed to paying fees for civil documents given that over 72,000 people are on my family tree.

Re: Can I access records in a Diocesan Archive in Italy?
Most towns have multiple old churches with one of them as the main church. When I detoured from my tour group and went for less than 3 hours to the small town of Racalmuto, Sicily, there were 4 churches - all next to each other. I went in the first church on the corner which was open, found a priest ...

Re: Find Italian Birth Record for Pietro Puma
Thanks Livio. Because this record is hand written long hand and not formatted, I am having difficulty translating it. Can you please give me the key details such as birth date and parents?

Find Italian Birth Record for Pietro Puma
Reference the death record attached here for Peter Puma. It says that he was born in Marsala, Trapani, Italy on May 18, 1868. His Italian first name therefore would have been Pietro. I can't find his Italian birth record even though birth records exist for that year. Hoping that someone can.

Please refer to the attachment which gives the family of Francesco Lorusso (his parents were Michele Lorusso 1858-1905 and Teresa Ninivaggi 1858-1935- all from Altamura, Bari, Puglia, Italy) and Grazia Clemente. I have a number of inquiries:

The Impact of Children on Blood Relationships
Your sister gets married.
Neither she nor you are blood related to her husband. You both are merely marriage related to her husband.
The couple has a child.
The child is blood related to his/her mother and father, so therefore "logically" both you and your sister are now blood related to the father ...
