Re: Saving Ellis Island Records

Shift - Control - i -when on Full Image gets me an elements/programming breakdown with a link appearing as a very tiny manifest page underneath that does not open to the manifest image (doesn't open at all).

Saving Ellis Island Records

It used to be easy to save relevant Ellis Island records to your computer files. Now there seems to be no way to do that. Is there a way? You have to be an idiot to pay the government $30 per each Ellis Island page.

Re: Looking for parents of Michael Chudkosy and wife Michelina Marszycka

Thank you. On the marriage certificate, Ancestry.com gave me this: New York, New York, Marriage Index 1866-1937 View Record Name Micholina Marszycka Gender Female Marriage Date 9 Feb 1919 Marriage Place Manhattan, New York, USA Spouse Michael Chutkowsky Certificate Number 6289 Household Members Name...

Re: Find Cascio - La Bianco Marriage Record

Yes, I'm not sure how I confused the two sisters. Rosaria is the only one of 10 siblings for which I cannot find her birth record. I'm wondering if she was born in a different town.

Find Cascio - La Bianco Marriage Record

On my family tree, I show a July 23, 1911 marriage in Polizzi Generosa, Palermo, Sicily between Vincenzo La Bianco and Rosaria Cascio. The marriage was recorded on the December 21, 1889 birth record for Rosaria Cascio. I have not been able to find the actual marriage record. Therefore, I do not know...

Re: Questions regarding my family search

Look for indexes and start with them. If you don't know the date married, but do know the year the first child was born, start with that year and go back in time. Death dates are harder. Even if you start with the year the last child was born, they could have lived many years after that. Use this li...

Re: Antenati site

Sometimes you can get the same information from the Mormon website - https://www.familysearch.org/search/col ... %3A1927178

There are a few towns-records (not many) that you actually have to go to a family history center to view them.

Are there Italian records for altar boys

According to my grandfather's daughter, my grandfather, Salvatore Puma, was an altar boy in Racalmuto, Sicily. I was wondering if records were kept on that. He was born in Racalmuto on May 26, 1896 to parents Giovanni Puma and Maria Concetta Grillo.

WW1 - Did my grandfather enlist or was he drafted

My grandfather, Salvatore Puma, born in Racalmuto, Sicily, was inducted into the US Army on May 28, 1918, 2 days after his twenty second birthday. I thought if I Googled about the WW1 draft, I would be able to tell if he was drafted or enlisted, but I don't understand how that draft worked (apparent...

Okay, now I get it. Rudolph was the son of Angelo Cerami who was the son of Leonardo Cerami. Gloria Martino was Rudolph's wife. Lena was Carmelina - the wife of Angelo Cerami. Thanks again.
