Okay, now I get it. Rudolph was the son of Angelo Cerami who was the son of Leonardo Cerami. Gloria Martino was Rudolph's wife. Lena was Carmelina - the wife of Angelo Cerami.

Re: When did he die?

When I went to post the death dates on my Tree, I do not show a Gloria nor Rudolph. Are they spouses? I do have an Angela, not an Angelina. Do you have dates of birth for these people?

When did he die?

Leonardo Francesco Cerami, born September 21, 1859 in Petralia Soprano, Sicily, Italy died in Brooklyn in 1953 (family known fact; he was in his 90s). A Find a Grave hint states that he died on July 18, 1953. A New York death index has the date as July 15. Neither hint from Ancestry.com has his age ...

Re: No Parents on Death record

Actually this is the Giuseppe Cascio who was married to Maria Scarpa, not a son. I'm trying to find his parents. We know that this is the right person because his widow remarried in 1834 and the Allegati records (actually pages 2-3 of the marriage record) mentioned that her first husband was Giusepp...

Thanks. Just surprised that they did not list his Cascio parents, especially with two Cascio registration witnesses.

Re: Why are the parents missing on death record

Thank you. Seems very strange that the town was notified of the death, but does not identify that person(s). Also seems against the odds that the two people witnessing the registration had the same surname as the deceased. Makes one think that there may be some type of cover up. Probably will never ...

Why are the parents missing on death record

First here is a death index from 1831 for Polizzi Generosa. Look at document number 43 for Giuseppe Cascio. No parents are listed: http://dl.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/v/Archivio+di+Stato+di+Palermo/Stato+civile+della+restaurazione/Polizzioggi+Polizzi+Generosa/Morti/1831/103/007801987_00124.jpg.h...

Re: No Parents on Death record

I've tried Family Search. I have no siblings for him - he's the end of the line for my Cascio branch. He can also appear as Lo Cascio.
