Re: Spelling of Street Address
Thanks. On his father's death certificate, looks like Poverta (same number 58). Can't send an attachment on a reply.

Spelling of Street Address
In the attachment, the street address looks like Paunta to me, but it does not appear on a Google Earth search. What is the actual spelling?

Street Address
Is there a number for the street address (S. Gandolfo) in the attachment? I see 211 but that was the number on her actual birth certificate which I also have found (the street address but not the number was on the original).

Supplementary Questions on 1940 Census
What was the purpose of supplementary questions on the 1940 census. Especially confusing was the K to Z for office use only section of these questions found at the bottom of the survey for a couple of people. I would attach an example, but it is over 9 MB or more than 3 times larger than this websit...

Census Completeness and Accuracy
The 1950 Census has been published. However, can't find very many relatives on it including myself and my parents. Makes you wonder how they can ever come up with an accurate census. For example, people not home when the census taker knocks on the door. Not every door can physically be knocked on, s...

Thank you. Guessing that was needed for his passport. It was another year and a half before he emigrated to America.

Re: Antenati Download
I copy (Control C) the Antenati page or the part of the page I wish to save to Paint (by zooming or shrinking the page appropriately), then click on Paste in Paint, then crop it in Paint (click Crop, draw the crop boundaries with the symbol they give you, then click Crop again when you've drawn the ...

Why was February 5 a popular day to get married
There were 106 marriages in 1921 in Polizzi Generosa. 14 of them, records # 13 to 26 occurred on February 5, 1921. Seems very unusual. Can anyone explain why? Here's the Antenati link: https://www.antenati.san.beniculturali.it/ark:/12657/an_ua36075922/LPrRxdn Click on the two page Galleria symbol to...

Source for Italian Parish Records
Here are some links from the same volunteer organization that has done work to find and publish parish records. They still have a long way to go, but what they've acquired so far may help some of you: https://www.italianparishrecords.org/ file:///C:/Users/Ron%20Puma/Downloads/2022%20Jul%20IPR%20Jour...
