in case you cant register adults my mother and I have our appointment a couple weeks apart. Do I need duplicates of all the documents? because I cant really afford them

My advice is to just go in person. Talk to them that is what I am doing tomorrow. it will be my second trip there to amend.

Once the commune has all thesenpapers. Is there a way for another commune to track it? Can all communes tell ifnyou are a citizen?

Yes it was amaglioc case. Sorry about my confusion on the story. Point being you still need a translation which brings me to my question. What is an average price per document? Anyone know someone good and reasonably priced ? And is there some sort of certification they must have?

A member posted a couple days ago about his appointment at the Houston consulate and he actually forgot to get a document translated ad had to leave and get it translated then come back. You 100% need a translation

from what i understand it is not required to present a death certificate. as in the law does not say you must present it with your case. however as an italian citizen living abroad technically someone is required to notify the consulate of the death.

I was advised by an italian lawyer that you can apply in any commune. however this only applies if you are doing it at the commune in italy. if it is at a consulate abroad it is required to be sent to the commune of ancestry.

I have an appointment at the NYC consulate very close to xmas. I am curious if it will delay my registration granted that all things go well. I assume it will delay it but it got me curious, what is vacation time in italy like? most places here in NYC are a couple days then close again for a couple ...

I would consider yourself very lucky. On the other hand I do not know how much they will appreciate you not having enough documents. What documents do you have ?

Contact kenneth Cobb atthe municipal archives stating the documents can't be changed. archives@records.nyc.gov send the email there I don't know if the consulates will accept it but that's what I did. Mr Cobb is assistant commissioner of municipal archives.
