Hello Karyn –
I saw your post about Mariantonia Perrotta when I was researching my great grandfather Giuseppe Landolfi, who was also born in Paolisi. I found an Italian death certificate (he died in 1935) and he mentions that he was married to Mariantonia Perrotta. I don’t read or speak Italian ...

Re: Landolfi Family - Campania, Benevento, Paolisi Region
Hello -
So sorry I have not responded to your post before regarding Nicola Landolfi. I have enclosed a photo for Nicola Landolfi that my grandfather, Domenico Landolfi, received when he lived in Fort Wayne, IN. I hope this is the same person!
Please feel free to contact me at brian.bauer@so-coast ...

Re: Mori Family in Sestri Levante, Italy
No, I don't think this is the same Vincenzo. He married Caterina (Katherine or Kate) Bacigalupi or Bacigalupo probably around 1874 in New York. They ended up having 11 children together and settled in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Re: Mori Family in Sestri Levante, Italy
Wow, thank you so much suanj, Laura and Marty A. All this info is very helpful. I don't know about the Mora surname variation. It is certainly a possibility until we find another relative or a birth record of my great grandfather. I think I've found about as much info on the family in the US as I ...

Re: Mori Family in Sestri Levante, Italy
Yes, this is him. I certainly appreciate your feedback.
I'm really looking for family connections in the Sestri Levante area and/or Buenos Aires, Argentina. Like I mentioned, he had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. I believe the family moved to Argentina when he was younger, but they also left family ...

Landolfi Family - Paolisi/Benevento/Campania
I'm looking for Italian connections to the Landolfi family. I know my grandfather was born in Paolisi in the State of Benevento in the Campania region. He immigrated to the US in about 1907. I believe we still have family in Italy. Domenico or Dominick had an Uncle Nicola Landolfi who wrote him from ...

Re: Mori Family in Sestri Levante, Italy
I forgot to mention that Vincent also had 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He visited this Genoa area in 1911. He joined the Italian Navy after leaving for Buenos Aires, Argentina, and jumped ship in New York. He married in NY and evenutally settled down in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Mori Family in Sestri Levante, Italy
Looking for Mori family members in Sestri Levante. My great grandfather, Vincenzo, was born here in 1848. Some of the family may have immigrated to Argentina. Vincenzo ended up in New York. I know he later traveled back to Italy to visit with family.
Thanks,
Brian

Re: Landolfi Family - Campania, Benevento, Paolisi Region
Much thanks to maestra36 and suanj. I think I might have found the military info on my grandfather, Domenico, and a birth record. I am still trying to make a connection to my great grandfather, Giuseppe Landolfi who is from the Benevento area. Domenico also had an uncle, Nicola Landolfi in the ...

Re: Landolfi Family - Campania, Benevento, Paolisi Region
He sailed from Naples on Apr. 3, 1907, on the SS Replublic and landed in NY on Apr. 18, 1907. He ended up settling in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. His birthplace is Paolisi. We think we may have found his birth certificate as well, confirming Paolisi as his birthplace.

Landolfi Family - Campania, Benevento, Paolisi Region
My grandfather's name was Domenico Landolfi, from Paolisi, born in 1889 and immigrated to the US on April 17, 1907. We are fairly certain Domenico was born in Paolisi. His father, my great grandfather, was Giuseppe, born in Benevento (we think) in 1855. I believe Giuseppe was married to Teresa ...
