Looks like Francesco didn't arrive until March, 1905. Maria sailed with her father, mother, and cousin in 1903.

Found more info. Need help, Please

Hi everyone. I found some new information on my wifes' cousin. I was searching for the origins of the last name Gelorme. I discovered the real surname is; Francesco Digiloramo . Immigrated to the US around 1903. Wife -Mary or Maria. Son- Hugo born 1903 Would this name indicate he is from Calabria?

Thank you all for your help.

The 1920 census lists Mary Gelorme as head of house hold. Born 1876 in Italy. Arrived in US in 1903 with infant son Hugo Gelorme. Haven't been able to find name of husband yet.

Mary was widowed before 1920. Living in Pennsylvania by 1906

No other spellings were found. The two US census records both spell it the same way. 1920, 1930.

I believe it may Gelormini, from Campania.

Yes, the origins for the surname Gelorme. It is the name registered in the 1930 US census. But, born in Italy around 1870.

Hi everyone. Just found this site and am excited to research our family heritage. My mothers' family is from San Lorenzello, outside of Benevento. Her last name is DeRosa.
