Re: DeFilippo/Spano Family
My family always said we were related to Joe DeNucci who lived in Newton, Mass. He was supposedly my father's cousin. Is this the DeNucci family you are referrig to?

Re: DeFilippo/Spano Family
Maybe there is some relation. I believe that our original name was spelled DeNucci as you have written. What Boston suburb did your family settle? Do you have any relations still in Belona?

You mentioned that the DeFilippo family settled in Everett, Mass. So did mine. Is it worth investigating or not?

Re: DeFilippo/Spano Family
You seem to have a very similar genealogy as my DiNuccio/DeFilippo family. My great grandparents were Gaetano DeFilippo (died in 1940) and great grandmother Maria DiNuccio (died in 1926). Both seem to have originated in Bellona, Italy. Do you think we have some branch of a connection?

Re: DiNuccio Family
You guys are great. How did you find this information so quickly. It is also very confusing since my grandmother also has a mother with the name Maria DiNuccio.

Re: DiNuccio Family
Tessa,
Looks like you have located the census records of my grandfather, James and grandmother Maria who lived at 132 Bow Street in Everett, Mass. I have found these records also but cannot find any of the manifest records. I believe the family came from Bellona, Italy.
